FARMOVS is recruiting healthy breastfeeding women to take part in a clinical research study.

This study aims to understand how a certain antibiotic medicine passes into breast milk and what this may mean for babies.

You may qualify if you:
• Are 18 to 45 years old
• Are currently breastfeeding
• Are between 12 weeks and 1 year after delivery
• Are in good general health
• Are not using long-term (chronic) medication
• Are a non- or casual smoker

The study will involve a short stay at the FARMOVS clinical research unit under careful medical supervision by trained staff.

Full details of the study will be explained to you before you decide whether to participate.

IMPORTANT:
•Participation in the study is completely voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.
•You will be compensated for your time and inconvenience.
•We are prepared to work in collaboration with your treating physician.
•FARMOVS is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPI Act), including effective amendments.

This study has been approved by The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) and the South African Medical Association Research Ethics Committee (SAMAREC)

Pregnant women needed for a clinical research study!

The aim of the study is advancing early pre-eclampsia detection.

You may qualify if you:
-Are 18 – 49 years old.
-Are 6 – 16 weeks pregnant.
-Are considered high risk for developing pre-eclampsia (a pregnancy condition involving high blood pressure and protein in the urine).
-Reside in or around Bloemfontein.

High risk for pre-eclampsia (PE) may include: If you’ve had it before, or have certain medical conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, a family history of PE, being 35 years or older, or past serious pregnancy complications.

The study begins with a screening visit to see if you meet the study criteria. If you qualify, you can take part in the study with visits every two weeks from approximately 12–16 weeks of pregnancy until approximately week 40, or until the end of your pregnancy if earlier.

This study has been approved by the Health Sciences Research Ethics Committee of the University of the Free State.

FARMOVS Celebrates Nelson Mandela Day: 67 minutes, One donation, One baby bag, Countless smiles

This Nelson Mandela Day, the FARMOVS team came together to honour Madiba's legacy by turning kindness into action.
Through the generosity of our employees, we collected baby care essentials, packed each care bag with love, and delivered them to new mothers and their precious babies at a local hospital.

Every donated item, every helping hand, and every shared smile reminded us that it doesn't take much to change someone's day, it simply takes people who care.
Thank you to every member of the FARMOVS team who contributed to making this initiative such a meaningful success.
