While many people associate it with hot flushes, the changes can begin years before menopause and may include symptoms that often go unrecognised. Along with irregular periods, night sweats, mood changes and brain fog, some women also experience joint and muscle aches, headaches, heart palpitations, changes in libido, dry skin or eyes and difficulty sleeping.
