What a privilege to have helped Rilee Rossouw, one of South Africa's and the Proteas' top cricket players, get rid of his contact lenses and glasses (through LASIK).

Retina surgery is like “Laproscopic Eye Surgery”
There are three ports inserted in the eye.
1: Infusion port
2: light source
3:Cutter
Retina surgery is done by a Retina Surgeon for eye conditions like:

Retina detachment repair
Macular hole repair
Vitreous hemorrhage
Vitreo-macular traction removal
Epiretinal membrane removal

The patient might have the following symptoms:
Decrease in vision, floaters and/or light flashes.

After the vitreous gell was removed from the eye, the surgeon places gas or oil in the eye.
The ports are self sealing and there are no need for sutures.
With modern technology, Retina Surgery is almost painless and a verry effective prosedure that heals quickly.
Often the last option to restore a patient’s sight again.
