At first glance, you might think this is a standard Birkenstock sandal.

But it isn't.

This sandal was custom-made by our skilled shoe-making team to closely replicate the design and appearance of the patient's existing Birkenstock-style sandal, while incorporating the specific orthopaedic requirements needed for optimal comfort, support, and function.

One of the questions we are often asked is whether a custom orthopaedic shoe or sandal can be made to match an existing favourite shoe. The answer is: Absolutely!

This project is a wonderful example of the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and expertise that goes into every custom footwear solution we create. Our goal is not only to meet the patient's clinical needs but also to ensure they feel confident and comfortable in footwear that reflects their personal style.

At Frans Marx Orthotics, custom footwear doesn't have to mean compromising on appearance.

What started as a vision to improve lives through expert orthotic care has grown into something far greater than we could have imagined.
