Every birth is a miracle, but some journeys leave an everlasting imprint on your heart.
It has been such a privilege to watch Belinda and J.P. grow from an excited young couple into confident parents. From our very first visit, they embraced this journey wholeheartedly. They listened carefully, asked questions, prepared intentionally, and trusted both the process and the incredible way God designed birth.
At about 03:00, J.P. called to let me know that Belinda's surges had begun. Calmly and confidently, they stayed at home, working through each surge with a warm bath and the breathing techniques they had practised so faithfully over the past months.
At 05:30, J.P. called again, and together we decided it was time to meet at the birth centre.
They arrived at 07:00, and Belinda was beautifully focused in active labour. Little did we know that she was already fully dilated and only moments away from meeting the little girl they had waited so long to hold.
Just ten minutes after arriving, precious Baily made her gentle entrance into the world, with her gorgeous silvery-white hair, straight into her mommy's loving arms.
The room instantly filled with overwhelming joy. Daddy's tears spoke of a love beyond words, while Mommy's smile reflected the strength, courage, and determination that had carried her through. In that beautiful moment, two people became a family of three, and our hearts overflowed with gratitude.
Once again, we stood in awe of the miracle of birth and the goodness of our faithful God. Every birth reminds me that His timing is perfect, His plans are beautiful, and His faithfulness never fails.
Belinda and J.P., thank you for trusting me to walk this incredible journey with you—from the early days of pregnancy to the unforgettable moment you welcomed your firstborn daughter into the world. It has been an honour to witness your transformation into such loving parents.
May precious Baily fill your home with laughter, your hearts with endless love, and your lives with countless blessings. May you always remember the miracle of the day she made you a family.
Happy 4th Trimester!
With love,
Sr Kathleen & Jessica
