Personality mapping. Yep... I've been in South Africa for over 20 years and still can't shake that stubborn French accent! I left my beautiful native little Belgium in 2001 when offered a position at the Belgian Consulate in Durban, after successfully completing an inte

rnship in the field of International Cooperation. Another amazing story, but for another time. Fast forward a couple of years, I fell in love with Specialized Kinesiology and BodyTalk when I personally experienced the amazing transformational impact those complementary therapies had on my life. While studying to deepen my understanding of those modalities – it was simply at first for personal growth, I realized quite quickly that there would be more meaning to all this learning if I could use the techniques I had now become familiar with, to assist friends, family and everyone who needed assistance to regain their optimal state of health and well-being. I thus became certified as a Specialized Kinesiologist in 2007 and as a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner (CBP) in 2009, while still working at the Consulate and carefully balancing those 2 very different worlds, for a while at least. I eventually resigned from my position at the Consulate, after 8 years, to welcome my son to this world and concentrate on my Complementary Therapies Practice. I have since then added many strings to my bow so that I am able to live my passion every day by working with you and assist you in improving your quality of life at so many levels! So come and say "Bonjour!"

Today, we honour the strength, courage, wisdom, and resilience of women. 🌸

Behind every woman is a story: moments of challenge, growth, healing, and quiet bravery. Strength does not mean carrying everything alone. It can also mean resting, asking for support, setting boundaries, and choosing to care for yourself.

Through my work, I feel privileged to support women on their journeys towards greater balance, wellbeing, and connection with themselves.

To every woman: honour how far you have come, trust the strength within you, and remember…

Life is tough, but so are you. 😍

Happy Women’s Day!

Expectations can keep us resisting what "is", creating disappointment, tension, and emotional overwhelm.
We expect our partners to wash the dishes or our children to behave a certain way, but we all know how it goes...

Acceptance does not mean giving up, it means acknowledging the present moment with compassion, so we can respond with greater clarity and calm.

Through the complementary therapies and guidance I offer, I support you in releasing emotional pressure, reconnecting with yourself, and creating more balance within your body, mind, and spirit.

Sometimes, peace begins with simply allowing life - and ourselves - to be as we are.

✨ What actually happens inside us when we drop the performance and just show up as we are?

Turns out, it's not just emotional: it is also physiological. That inner alarm system (the amygdala) starts to settle when we are not bracing for judgment. Trust chemicals flood in when we connect without pretense. And all that mental bandwidth we usually spend managing how we're perceived? It gets freed up - for clearer thinking, creativity, real connection. 🧠💛

🧠 A little neuroscience: The amygdala is our brain's threat detector, constantly scanning for danger, judgment, or rejection.

When it senses a threat (even a social one, like fear of not being "enough"), it can hijack the nervous system into fight, flight, or freeze, long before the thinking brain gets a say.
This is why authenticity can feel so hard: an overactive amygdala keeps us guarded, even when we're safe.

In my work, we use gentle neuro-feedback monitoring and specific balancing techniques to communicate directly with the nervous system, helping the amygdala recognize safety, downregulate that stress response, and allow the body to settle.

When the nervous system feels safe, authenticity stops being something we have to force. It becomes something we can simply return to.

This is also at the heart of emotional intelligence: the more honestly we can sit with what's happening inside us, the more intentionally we get to choose how we show up for others.

Where in your life do you feel most free to just be you?

If there's one thing we can never escape, it's relationships. Couple, family, work - they sit at the very core of who we are. They live in every ordinary, everyday interaction.

I work with men and women — sometimes both partners together — who have lost their compass. Caught up in anger, frustration, overwhelm, they've lost the thread of how to communicate with each other.

And often, what helps most isn't complicated.

Recognise what's really going on. Listen to understand, not to respond. Pause before reacting. Breathe. Come back to now.
Small shifts like these are what rebuild a relationship, one conversation at a time.

✨ 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻'𝘀 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 is here... and it's time to 𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐘𝐎𝐔. ✨

How often do you put yourself at the bottom of your own priority list?

This August, I would love to help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and give your body and nervous system the care they truly deserve.

So I have put some 𝒔𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒔 together just for you!

🌿 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲 (60 min) – 𝗥𝟰𝟬𝟬 (normally R520)
60 minutes of pure relaxation, grounding, and nervous system nourishment.
🌿 𝟮-𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗡𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗼 (Stress Release + Traditional Thai Foot Massage) – 𝗥𝟴𝟱𝟬 (normally R1060)
A deeply restorative experience combining emotional release with full-body relaxation.
🌿 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗼-𝗦𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘅𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (valued at R120) after every Specialized Kinesiology or Stress Release session throughout Women's Month.

𝑺𝒐𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒐𝒓𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒍𝒂𝒙𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 is a gentle therapeutic technique that uses light touch, and slow, deliberate movements to draw the nervous system out of "alert" mode and into deep rest. It is a body-based (“somato”) sensory experience that speaks directly to the nervous system, encouraging it to let go of tension, enhancing feelings of safety and allowing your body to integrate the changes made during your session on a deeper level. Many clients describe it as incredibly peaceful, comforting, and the perfect way to end and extend their treatment.

𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐦, 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫. 🌾

August is a fresh reminder that your greatest investments are your time, your health, and your peace of mind. You don't need everyone's approval to live a meaningful life. Happiness is created from within, success is built through consistent effort, and change is a natural part of growth. Walk into this month with gratitude, patience, and purpose—one mindful step at a time.

There's a quiet myth many of us carry: that we should be able to hold everything alone, and that needing support somehow means we've failed.

But regulation doesn't happen in isolation. Our nervous systems are wired for connection: we co-regulate through eye contact, through a steady voice, through simply being witnessed.

Reaching out isn't a breakdown. It's often the first step back toward balance.
We don't have to wait for the hardest moment to speak up. Before a crisis, that's the right time to say "I'm not okay" or "I need a hand."

If something in you resonates with this today, I'd love to hear it: drop a 🤍 in the comments, or send me a message. You don't have to carry it alone.

With love and gratitude,
Bérénice
