The Wall of Hope ❤️

One of the most beautiful moments from our market this weekend wasn't something we sold.

It was something we invited people to share.

Our Wall of Hope was created with one simple question:

"What would you like to say to a family caring for a child with severe disabilities?"

Throughout the day, heart after heart was filled with messages of encouragement, love, hope and kindness.

Some were just a few words.

Some were deeply personal.

Every single one reminded us that compassion still exists in abundance.

As I stood reading each message, I found myself incredibly moved.

Many of the families we support spend so much of their lives feeling unseen. They carry enormous responsibilities quietly, often without anyone truly understanding what their daily lives look like.

To watch complete strangers stop, reflect, and intentionally write words of hope for those families was something really special.

Those little hearts became more than pieces of paper.

They became reminders that people care.

That families are seen.

That kindness still has the power to reach someone who feels alone.

Thank you to every single person who took a moment to leave a message.

Your words matter more than you know.

This was our very first Wall of Hope, but after the incredible response it received, I have a feeling it won't be the last.

Because no family should ever walk the journey of disability alone. ❤️

Thank You, Echium Market in the Park and Foodies Cape Town ❤️

What a beautiful farewell. ❤️

This past Saturday marked our final market at Echium Market in the Park, and what an incredibly special way to end this chapter.

For the past year, Echium has been more than just a market to us. It has been a place where we've met wonderful people, shared Hannah's story, raised funds for families caring for loved ones with severe disabilities, and watched our little community grow one conversation at a time.

This weekend felt different.

So many people stopped—not just to shop—but to listen.

They asked about Hannah.

They wanted to know why Adonai House exists.

They read about The Waiting Room, stood in front of our new information displays, and took the time to understand the journey so many families live every day.

Seeing people engage so deeply with our mission reminded us that awareness is just as important as fundraising. Every conversation plants a seed, and every person who walks away understanding disability a little more helps create a kinder, more compassionate community.

To everyone who visited our stall, made a purchase, joined our mailing list, followed our journey, added a message to our Wall of Hope, or simply stopped to chat—thank you.

You made our final Echium market one we'll never forget.

While we're sad to say goodbye to this wonderful venue, we're also excited for what's ahead. New opportunities are already on the horizon, and we'll be announcing new market venues soon.
