October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month ๐Ÿฉท

Early detection can save lives. Breast cancer is the most common cancer among South African women after non-melanoma skin cancer, with a lifetime risk of 1 in 28. It can also affect younger women, including those in their 20s and 30s.

Take a few minutes once a month to check your breasts and get familiar with whatโ€™s normal for you. Look out for lumps, thickening, dimpling, changes in breast or ni**le shape, discharge, rashes or swelling.

Not every change means cancer, but anything unusual should be checked by a healthcare professional.
