Sometimes the problem isn't your hearing.

It's the environment.

Hard floors, busy restaurants, open-plan offices and background music all create competing sounds that make conversations more difficult.

Simple changes, like moving to a quieter table or reducing background noise where possible, can make communication much easier.

Conversation feels effortless because your brain is doing thousands of calculations every second.

It predicts words, fills in missing sounds and helps you understand speech almost instantly.

When hearing changes, this process becomes much harder. Your brain must work overtime to keep up, which can leave you feeling mentally exhausted after social interactions.

Looking after your hearing also helps reduce unnecessary strain on your brain.
