As part of its preventative care benefits, GEMS provides mammography screening once per benefit year for female beneficiaries aged 40 years and older.

GEMS is proud to be part of the Hospital Association of South Africa (HASA) Quality Summit and Conference 2026, bringing together healthcare leaders, clinicians, policymakers and industry professionals to share knowledge and engage on key issues shaping healthcare delivery in South Africa.

As part of the conference programme, Dr Claude Ndlovu, Chief Healthcare Officer at GEMS, shared insights from the GEMS Population Medicine Programme, highlighting key policy insights and learnings and their relevance to healthcare policy and practice.

Our Provider Liaison team is also onsite, engaging with GEMS healthcare providers and providing support and assistance throughout the conference.

Platforms such as the HASA Quality Summit and Conference provide valuable opportunities to exchange knowledge, strengthen collaboration across the healthcare sector and contribute to meaningful conversations aimed at improving healthcare delivery and outcomes.
