This is a great piece on vaccine safety, written by someone who actually knows something about the subject. There is a very good reason why there are different specialities within the field of medicine. There are literally thousands of experts around the world who have looked at every aspect of these vaccines. Experts in genetics, virology and immunology who have spent years and thousands of hours of study to become masters at their craft. And no, your 15mins spent Google-ing the side effects of the vaccine does not make you an expert. And no, your opinion is not just as valuable as that of a trained professional just because social media gives you a platform. And yes, you should question things and not just follow like a sheep. That is why everything in medicine is evidence based and peer reviewed. You have to prove everything that you claim and then convince other leading specialists in that field that your data is correct, reliable and trustworthy. And that includes claims about something not being safe. Unfortunately anecdotes and hearsay is not evidence. If you are going to question something, you should at least have a basic grasp of the topic so that you can ask the right questions, not just follow fake news like a sheep. If you are not a scientist, and you disagree with scientists about science, it is actually not a disagreement. You are just wrong. Your opinion is not going to change the facts, but if you are a reasonable, logical person, then the facts will change your opinion.
Concerns about long-term side effects have helped fuel vaccine hesitancy. An immunologist explains why we can be confident in long-term safety.
