When was the last time someone actually believed your pain?

Ilonka said the thing so many chronic pain clients tell me in our first session: nobody had ever seemed genuinely interested in her pain before.
Not managed. Not dismissed. Actually seen.

That's where real nervous system regulation work starts, feeling safe enough to be heard.

If you're ready to feel that too, comment SESSION and I'll walk you through what to expect.

Nobody claps when you manage one flight of stairs, or a short walk, or ten minutes of chair yoga instead of zero.
But your nervous system notices.
Every safe, repeated movement is a small piece of evidence that your body can trust again.
That evidence adds up slower than anyone would like, but it adds up.

Tell me your one small win from this week.

Somewhere along the way, "push through it" became the default fitness advice, and for chronic pain it's often exactly backwards.

Your body isn't lazy or unmotivated.
It's protecting you, and it needs proof of safety before it will relax into more movement.
That proof comes from small, repeatable wins, not one brutal session followed by three days in bed.

Comment MOVE and I'll send you a link to book a free discovery call with me.

You've probably tried harder than anyone gives you credit for.
Chronic pain recovery isn't about gritting your teeth through it, it's about teaching your nervous system that it's safe to stop bracing.
That's a completely different skill than willpower, and it's one that can actually be learned.

Save this for the next time someone implies you just aren't trying hard enough.

Mark didn't need another person telling him to push through the pain. He needed someone who'd actually walked this road too.

That's the difference between generic wellness advice and real chronic pain therapy, understanding the brain rewiring work, not just managing symptoms.

He's now recommending the RISE program to anyone with fibromyalgia who's ready to try something different.

Comment RISE and I'll send you the details.

What if your body isn't the enemy? What if it's just been trying to protect you.

Simone from PainEase Coaching and Gerda from The Wisdom Table sat down to talk about their work with women living with chronic pain and women who have spent years at war with food, with hunger, with their own reflection.

Most of them have been told to push harder, eat less, try another plan, ignore the pain. None of it worked, because the real problem was never willpower.

Return to Your Body is built for exactly this. A space to stop fighting your body and start feeling safe in it again.

Watch the video to hear Simone and Gerda talk about what this workshop actually offers, and why they created it together.

If any part of this feels familiar, you are not alone, and you are not broken.

Tell us in the comments, what is one way your body has been trying to protect you?

Your body isn't broken. But it might be trying to tell you something more.

I see this pattern again and again with chronic pain and fibromyalgia clients.

Pain that moves. Pain that started during a hard season. Scans that come back clean while the pain stays loud.

None of that means it's imagined. It usually means the nervous system is still sounding an alarm, long after the original cause has healed.

Swipe through for 5 signs I look for, and what they actually mean.

This isn't about blaming yourself for the pain. It's about understanding it well enough to start changing it.

Save this so you can come back to it.

Throwback to the podcast episode people keep sending to their friends.

I sat down for The Missing Link in Your Healing and said the thing most chronic pain advice skips over.

You can stretch every morning. Eat perfectly clean. See every specialist in town. And still hurt, because nobody told you the nervous system needs treating too, not just the body.

That's the missing link. Neuroplastic pain and fibromyalgia often aren't about ongoing damage. They're a nervous system stuck in high alert, still sounding the alarm long after the danger's gone.

Try this today. Next time pain spikes, pause and notice what you were thinking or feeling right before it hit. Not to blame yourself. Just to spot the pattern.

I'm Simone, an ASCHP registered chronic pain coach. This is the work I talk about here every week.

Comment EPISODE and I'll send you the full listen.
Save this for the day you need reminding.
Send it to someone still looking for answers.
And follow along for more of this.

Nobody could see what was wrong with me.
That was almost the hardest part.

Chronic pain and fibromyalgia are invisible illnesses.
You show up looking "fine," so people assume you are.
Meanwhile you're doing the math on every step, every plan, every good day you might pay for later.
Feeling unseen is its own kind of exhausting, on top of the pain itself.

You're allowed to say "I'm not okay" even when you look okay.

Practice it with one safe person this week.
