🦉🌙 𝑶𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒖𝒑𝒐𝒏 𝒂 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒏𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕…

As the sun goes down
and the world becomes quiet,
a little family of owls comes to life… ✨

Toddler Class 1 explored the 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑵𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 theme by creating these adorable little owls! 🦉 🤎

Using bubble wrap painting, little hands created the beautiful textured feathers before adding colourful wings, big curious eyes and tiny orange beaks. 🎨

And the best part?

Their wings can move! 🪽

Now these little owls are ready to flap their wings and watch over the classroom as the evening sky settles in. 🌙

🎨 Little hands. Big imaginations. Lots of learning!

A little peek into Baby Class 2 — where every day brings something new to explore!

From squishing and creating with clay, ✋🏼 to getting creative with chalk on the blackboard, 🖍️ and exploring books together, 📖 our little ones are learning through simple, meaningful activities.

🌱 And even “reading” the pictures is learning!
By looking at the pictures, turning the pages and following what they see, children are building vocabulary, observation skills, imagination and early literacy skills — long before they can read the words themselves.

Every little activity has a purpose, helping our children play, explore, create and grow. 💛

Baby Class 1 was taking some very important calls! 📞📱

Our little ones spent time exploring technology!
We brought out old landlines that don't work anymore alongside dummy smartphones—no actual screen time or working cords, just pure, safe, imaginative play. 🤗

From holding up the receivers for a proper chat to tapping away on screens just like mom and dad, 😉
their eagerness to explore was amazing to see.

Watching them figure out how we used to talk and how we still stay connected today was definitely the highlight of our day!

🌽 A little messy, a lot of fun!

Our Baby Class 1 had so much fun exploring this sensory activity!

Little hands got busy scooping, touching and discovering as they enjoyed a fun-filled morning of learning through play. 🤍

It’s amazing how the simplest activities can create such happy little moments! 🥰

🌸🌼 HELLO SPRING! 🌼🌸

Tuesday, 1 September 2026, was all about celebrating the beautiful season of new beginnings at Brakanjan Educare! 🌱💛

From Potty Class right through to Aftercare, our children embraced Spring in full swing! 🌸🌿 There were smiles, fun, beautiful moments and plenty of Spring spirit along the way.

Six little videos, one beautiful Spring day — and so many special memories made. 🌼✨

🌷 Goodbye, Tannie Hannetjie 🌷

On Monday, 31 August 2026, we said goodbye to someone who, over so many years, has earned a very special place in the heart of Brakanjan Educare.

On Friday, 28 August, we held a lovely farewell gathering to celebrate Tannie Hannetjie and thank her for all the years of love, hard work and dedication. A big thank you to all the children, parents and staff who helped make the occasion so special for her. ❤️

Over the years, Tannie Hannetjie fulfilled so many different roles, but to the children she was someone even more special — their Tannie, their comfort, their safe place and, for many of them, a true “granny figure”. ❤️

She became part of so many little/young lives with love, patience and care. The work she has done can not simply be measured in years or roles. It lives on in the little moments, the smiles, the care and the memories she has made with so many children and staff members.

Now a new chapter begins — one where she can breathe, enjoy life and embrace her well-deserved retirement. 🌸

Tannie Hannetjie, thank you so much for everything you have meant to Brakanjan Educare, the children and all of us over the years. You have left your mark. You will certainly be missed.

We wish you a long, peaceful and very happy retirement, filled with beautiful days, love, laughter and all the things there perhaps wasn’t always time for. 🤍
