Beautiful outcomes are rarely accidental. They’re sequenced.
Support first — that’s the foundation, and the rest follows. Then you look again, and refine only what still needs it. That order hasn’t changed in my practice in more than ten years.
Teaching it again next week, with AllerganAesthetics_SA

💛 I get this question a lot.
“I want to move into aesthetics: where do I start?”

It’s a fair question. And for a long time, the honest answer was: it’s complicated. There’s a lot of noise out there. Courses that promise quick results. Shortcuts that skip the foundations.
That’s not how I was trained. And it’s not how I train others.

As part of the Allergan Medical Institute Faculty, I’ve always believed that the way you start shapes everything that follows. Anatomy. Clinical thinking. Technique built on real understanding - not just repetition. That’s what separates practitioners who grow from those who plateau.
So, when AMI Advance was developed, I understood what it was trying to do. It’s not a shortcut. It’s a starting point, a proper one. Small groups. Hands-on practice. Faculty who’ve walked this path. And the kind of peer connection that actually sticks with you after you leave the room.
If you’re a healthcare professional thinking about making the move into aesthetic injectables or you’ve started but want to build your skills on firmer ground, this is worth looking at seriously.

‘Restoring form and function’

The pre-operative images demonstrate post traumatic dorsal saddling with and an under-rotated bulbous nasal tip together with nasal axis deviation.
Septal reconstruction to correct a weak and buckled nasal septum is key to restore nasal function and aesthetics.

Technical details included a 3mm dorsal reduction, bilateral asymmetric oblique and lateral osteotomies, septoplasty with perpendicular plate splinting of the caudal L-strut, repositioning of the caudal septum, bilateral extended spreader grafts, septal extension graft and tip refinement with lateral crural transposition with lateral crural strut grafts.

Excited for tomorrow’s SORSSA webinar with Oliver Gerbault, inventor and pioneer of piezoelectric / ultrasonic rhinoplasty.
Ultrasonic instrumentation has revolutionized nasal bone management, with more predictable and atraumatic results with greater precision to control shape.
