Lauren Moore Counselling

Lauren Moore Counselling Offering both online and face to face therapy for adolescents, adults and couples. The aim of my cou I work in an engaging way with my clients.

The aim of counselling is to help you deal with and overcome issues that cause unnecessary pain and disruption in your life. These issues can come in a variety of shapes and forms such as people, situations, thought patterns, addictions etc. Through therapy we (client and counsellor) will develop a safe and private space for you to talk about and explore difficult feelings. I am there to support y

ou and respect your views but at the same time help you to find your own insights and understanding into the problems you face. It is through mutual engagement and the client therapist relationship that I help clients explore their presenting issues, traumas and/or challenges. Through this self-exploration I attempt to help clients arrive at a greater understanding of themselves – ‘it is only through awareness of ourselves that we can become fully aware of the challenges we face and thus tackle and overcome them in an informed way’. Through counselling and self-reflection I have witnessed my clients undergo amazing transformations. The foundation of therapy with me is the relationship between myself and my client- together client and counsellor form a safe, controlled and private space where it becomes possible for us to delve into core issues and traumas which may be negatively impacting the clients present life.

Women's Month appreciation post for the women carrying the invisible load. 🤍

The planners. The organisers. The lunch-makers. The calendar keepers. The people who somehow remember birthdays, school events, grocery lists and where everyone's missing shoes are.

Behind the scenes, so many women are carrying a thousand tiny responsibilities that often go unnoticed.

So, if you've ever felt mentally exhausted from "keeping everything together", you're not alone.

✨ Tag the woman who is somehow holding it all together (even if it's with coffee and a colour-coded calendar).

The "strong friend" gets overwhelmed too.

Check in on the women who always seem to have everything together.

🤍 Tag your therapist friend, mom friend or "group organiser" friend.

Women's Month reminder: wealth isn't always measured in money.

Sometimes it's the people who love us, the lessons we've learned and the safe spaces we've built.

💛 What makes you feel rich?

As children settle back into the school term, creating space for meaningful conversations can help them process both the highs and the challenges of their day.

Sometimes the questions we ask shape the answers we receive.

This week, try replacing the usual "How was school?" with one question that invites a deeper conversation.

A note from Lauren 🤍

I had to share this episode because Jay talks about some simple, practical conflict resolution skills that can make such a difference in our relationships.

Being married to my husband for 10 years, in love and doing life together for 20, I know firsthand that these are skills I come back to during challenging seasons. No relationship is free from conflict, and that’s completely normal.

The healthiest relationships aren’t the ones that never argue—they’re the ones that learn how to repair, reconnect, and find resolution together.

I hope this episode gives you a few helpful tools to strengthen your own relationships. Let me know what resonates with you in the comments. 💛

As school routines begin again, remember that every child experiences the transition differently.

Some children are excited to see their friends, while others may be feeling nervous, overwhelmed, or unsettled after the holidays.

Instead of asking, "Did you have a good day?", try asking:
🤍 "What was the best part of your day?"
🤍 "Was there anything that felt difficult today?"
🤍 "How can I support you this week?"

Sometimes feeling heard is exactly what a child needs.

As routines return after the holidays, remember that consistency is more important than perfection.

Small, manageable habits often support our wellbeing far better than unrealistic expectations.

Nelson Mandela believed in the power of compassion, courage, and community.

This month, consider one small act of kindness, for someone else, or for yourself. Both have the power to make a difference.

13/07/2026

We often spend so much energy caring for others that we forget to care for ourselves with the same kindness.

How are you speaking to yourself today?

School holidays don't have to be filled with expensive outings or perfectly planned activities.

Sometimes the moments children treasure most are the simple ones, being present, laughing together, and feeling seen.

What's one simple memory you'd like to create this holiday?
