The phrase ‘Ozempic face’ is misleading. Facial volume and skin laxity can change after substantial or rapid weight loss by many methods; the medication does not selectively remove fat from the face. Treatment decisions should remain medical and individualised.

Gradual male-pattern hair loss is common—but not every type of hair loss is simply genetic.

Seek assessment if loss is sudden, patchy, associated with scalp inflammation, follows major illness or rapid weight change, or occurs with fatigue or other symptoms. Thyroid problems, iron deficiency, medication effects and inflammatory conditions are among the possibilities.

Avoid starting supplements blindly: investigate the pattern first.

You do not have to force the same fixed amount of water as everyone else.

Hydration needs vary with body size, activity, heat, pregnancy or breastfeeding, illness, diet and certain medicines. Thirst and urine colour can offer clues, but medical conditions such as heart or kidney disease may require individual fluid advice.

General health education only.

Three symptoms women should not normalise: a new breast change, bleeding after menopause, or chest pressure/breathlessness/fainting. These symptoms have many possible causes, but they deserve timely assessment.

Emergency symptoms require urgent care. General education only.

Women’s Month reminder: prevention is personal.

A useful health review may include blood pressure, cervical-screening status, breast symptoms or changes, diabetes and cholesterol risk, contraception or menopause needs, mental health and vaccinations. What you need depends on your age, history and risk—not a viral checklist.

Book an individual assessment if you are unsure what is due.

MYTH: Going outside in cold weather gives you a cold.

Colds are caused by viruses—not temperature alone. In winter we often spend more time close together indoors, where respiratory viruses can spread more easily.

Helpful habits: ventilate shared spaces, wash your hands, cover coughs and stay home when you are unwell.

Most uncomplicated viral respiratory infections improve with time, fluids and symptom relief—but seek assessment for worsening breathlessness, chest pain, persistent high fever, confusion, dehydration, blue lips, or symptoms that are severe or not improving as expected. Young babies, older adults and people with certain medical conditions may need earlier review. General education only.
