Storing breastmilk properly ensures it stays safe, fresh, and nutritious for your baby. 🍼 Here’s how to do it right:

Room Temperature: Freshly expressed milk can stay at room temperature (25°C) for up to 4 hours.
Refrigerator: Store milk in the fridge if not used immediately it’s good for up to 4 days.
Freezer: For longer storage, freeze breastmilk immediately after pumping. This keeps it safe for future use.
Cooler Packs: On the go? Store milk in a cooler with ice packs for up to 24 hours. After that, transfer it to the fridge or freezer.

Following these simple guidelines ensures your breastmilk remains as nutritious and beneficial as when you pumped it.

Many women delay booking an appointment because they aren't sure what to expect.

Keeping a record of your menstrual cycles, writing down your symptoms, bringing a list of medications, and noting any previous investigations can help make your consultation more productive.

The more information you can provide, the better we can understand your concerns and tailor your care accordingly.

Adenomyosis is a condition where the tissue that normally lines the uterus grows into its muscular wall. It’s more common than you might think and can cause symptoms that disrupt daily life, such as:

⚡️ Heavy or prolonged periods
⚡️ Severe menstrual cramps
⚡️ Chronic pelvic pain
⚡️ Painful in*******se

While the exact cause isn’t fully understood, hormonal changes or previous uterine surgeries may play a role.

The good news? Treatment options are available. From pain relief and hormonal therapy to, in severe cases, surgery, there’s no ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach your care should be as unique as your experience.

If heavy, painful periods are affecting your quality of life, don’t wait, talk to your doctor. Relief is possible, and you don’t have to suffer in silence.

Pelvic pain is often dismissed as "normal" or "part of being a woman." It isn't.

Pain during periods, in*******se, exercise, or everyday activities may indicate underlying conditions such as endometriosis, adenomyosis, ovarian cysts, pelvic inflammatory disease, or fibroids.

Finding the cause is the first step towards improving quality of life.

You don't have to simply learn to live with pain.

The period between pregnancies is an excellent opportunity to optimise your health.

Managing chronic conditions, reviewing medications, restoring iron stores, achieving a healthy weight, updating vaccinations, and allowing your body adequate time to recover all contribute to healthier future pregnancies.

Good preconception care often begins long before the next positive pregnancy test.

While age certainly influences fertility, it's only one part of the picture.

Ovulation, s***m quality, weight, lifestyle factors, medical conditions, previous infections, endometriosis, and hormonal disorders can all influence a couple's ability to conceive.

Seeking advice early doesn't necessarily mean fertility treatment, it often means gaining a better understanding of your reproductive health and identifying any factors that may affect future family planning.

Changes in vaginal discharge, discomfort, itching, unusual odours, or irritation are common reasons women delay seeking help because they feel embarrassed.

These symptoms are extremely common and are something gynaecologists manage every day.

Whether the cause is a yeast infection, bacterial imbalance, hormonal changes, or another condition, early diagnosis helps ensure appropriate treatment and prevents unnecessary discomfort.

There should never be embarrassment when it comes to your health.

One of the most important appointments during pregnancy is often the very first one.

Early antenatal care allows us to confirm the pregnancy, accurately determine your due date, review your medical history, identify any risk factors, discuss important lifestyle recommendations, and begin planning for a healthy pregnancy.

These early conversations also provide an opportunity to answer questions and ensure you feel informed from the very beginning of your journey.
