We have been a bit quiet lately on here , because weโll , we have been swimming ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ . At the beginning of the year , while away with family . We decided this year , we need to do something that challenges us mentally and spiritually.
You see , it is easy to fall into the rut of work, school things and then repeat . But life is meant to be lived right ? To feel the connection from deep within .
Most of my patients know my saying โif you can just survive the swim of the triathlon, you will finishโ . I have never been comfortable in the open water , and knew this would be a big challenge for me .
We are super privileged to do this as a family (although we couldnโt convince the other two brothers ๐ ) , My dad (yes , super cool right ) , my sis ( who casually swims half the time it takes us to swim ) , and Lionel and I will be doing the Robin island crossing in April 2026 ๐ค
We are currently in week 11 of our training program and the excitement and nervousness is starting to build up .
What did this make us see again ? What a difference it makes in trusting the plan , and sticking to it , throughout life chaos , moving , school work , school functions , parent meetings , work etc. consistency is key , and having a accountability buddy has so much value . ( consider this for the boring initial phase rehab , perhaps? )
Keep and eye out to see when the big day will be ๐ซถ , but most importantly- find your challenge for the year , start to live a little more , and trust .
Trough God everything is possible โค๏ธ
