Dead air space refers to air that cannot participate in gaseous exchange (oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange between alveoli and vascular system) There is a natural amount of DAS that we expect ie. Air in the nasal passages , trachea and main brochi … as gaseous exchange can only take place at an alveoli level.
Alveoli dead air space occurs because of dysfunctional alveoli due to disease compromising the alveoli walls , excessive sputum retention in the alveoli or vascular dysfunction function eg. Emboli around the alveoli
Airway clearance techniques and breathing exercises can assist with optimizing gaseous exchange by reducing dead air space in the alveoli itself. Dead air space is basically clutter , physical or emotional … its takes up unnecessary space. Releasing this lung space , room space , head space and heart space can help make space for air that can be used by the body , more space in you house to be used functionally , clearer head space for ideas and creativity and a lighter heart space ready to receive blessings. 🤣 this is so funny … but probably not, but still very funny. This was the Vincent Pallotti Med. ICU year end party in Dec 2021 … it was a spa and swim day as covid19 was tapering. I tested positive for omicron the next day. The post massage lethargy was actually covid. And one by one the rest toppled. We were literally talking about outbreaks amongst the staff in the other wards and how wards had to close down 🤪 while super spreading the omicron wave ourselves. I may have been patient zero 😬. So we will call it a super spreader immunity event 😉😷🦠👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🫁

Does anyone love the as much as i do? To this day the circle of life song gives me goose bumps. No baby has come through our family that has not been simba lifted into the air. Rafiki is probably one of my favorite characters … a monkey of few words … but when they are spoken , they are infinitely sage , or hysterically funny, or sometimes both. Even if it was once part of you , like CO2 .. if it doesnt serve you , let it go.

It gets the job done , but leads to facial changes , poor sleep , poor oral health, poor oxygenation, . The nose has a natural filtration system that the mouth has not been designed for. Hence unfiltered air enters the lung worsening asthma and causing airway infections . Drying out of protective saliva makes the the enamel of teeth and gums vulnerable

Your heart has a 2 pump system, half pumping blood to the lungs to be oxygenated , the other half pumping oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. It pumps almost 6l every minute , almost 7500l in a single day through a network of vessels that could wrap around the earth almost twice. It is THE hardest working muscle in the body and works independently from the brain ie. It can continue to pump even if its disconnected from the body.
