Chin and Partners is currently one of the largest and best known orthotic and prosthetic practices in Cape Town. We have four branches – two are situated in Vincent Pallotti Hospital in Pinelands and the others are at Back to Health in Claremont and the Medsport branch in Bree Street in the CBD. Sharing our experience in diabetic foot care with the world 🇿🇦

We are proud to share highlights from Pierre van Eeden’s presentation at the World Union of Wound Healing Societies Congress (WUWHS 2026) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As an invited international speaker, Pierre, Orthotist at Chin & Partners, presented “Offloading: Is It Realistic Using Orthotic Protocols?”, sharing practical experience from our work in diabetic foot care.

His presentation focused on orthotic approaches to offloading diabetic wounds and ulcers - helping reduce pressure on the affected area of the foot.

It was a proud opportunity to contribute to the international conversation on wound care and highlight the work of South African orthotics, with a few proudly South African moments along the way!

We are incredibly proud of Pierre van Eeden, Orthotist at Chin & Partners, who attended the World Union of Wound Healing Societies Congress (WUWHS 2026) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this past week.

Pierre was invited as an international speaker and presented on:

Focusing on the role of orthotic protocols in offloading diabetic wounds and ulcers.

Being invited to share his clinical knowledge at an international congress is a wonderful achievement and an honour for both Pierre and our team.
