It is with great pleasure that we officially welcome Sister Alodie to the Auberge family.

Over the past few weeks, Sister Alodie has been training alongside Sister Lovedale, getting to know our residents, our team, and the high standards of compassionate, person-centred care that Auberge is known for. A message to all at Auberge.

As we remember my mum, Sister, Alison, I wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of you.

Auberge was never just a nursing home to my mum, it was her life’s work, her passion, and her second family. She loved the residents deeply, but she also loved the people who stood beside her every day: all of you.

She believed that caring for others was one of the greatest acts of kindness a person could give. She saw your compassion, your patience, your dedication, and the countless small things you do every day that make such a difference in the lives of our residents and their families.

Although she is no longer here with us, her legacy lives on through the care you provide. Every comforting word, every helping hand, every moment of dignity and respect you show our residents continues the work she started and the values she held so dearly.

Please never underestimate the impact you have. The heart of Auberge has always been its people, and because of you, my mum’s vision continues to thrive every single day.

Thank you for carrying her legacy forward with such love, professionalism, and compassion. I know she would be incredibly proud of each one of you.
