Most people who come to counselling aren't in crisis. They're just tired of carrying everything alone.

If you've been feeling stuck, anxious, or like something's quietly off - that's enough of a reason to reach out.

Swipe to see who counselling is really for. You might recognise yourself in there. 👉

I'm a specialized wellness counsellor based in Cape Town, working with adults through anxiety, stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, grief, and life transitions.

📩 DM me with any questions - no commitment needed.

Taking that first step towards counselling can feel really daunting.

Naturally, you'll be nervous not knowing what to expect.
"What do I say?"
"Will I feel vulnerable?"
"Will we have anything to talk about?"

These are all completely normal questions to have, and you're not alone in asking them.

What always surprises people is how quickly a 50–60 minute session goes.

Mainly what we cover in that first session is getting to know you, and you getting to know me a little - seeing if we're a good fit together. There's no pressure to share anything you're not ready for.

You just have to show up. I'll take it from there 🌿

DM me or contact me via Whatsapp or email and we can set up your first session 📩

Today is World Semicolon Day ; a day to bring awareness to su***de.

A semicolon represents choosing to continue, even when things feel overwhelming.

In South Africa, thousands of lives are lost to su***de each year, and many more people struggle in silence.

Behind every statistic is a real person, a family, a story that matters 👐

If you’re finding things heavy right now, you don’t have to carry it alone. Reaching out is not a weakness - it’s a step toward support, understanding, and healing.

Let’s keep the conversation going, reduce stigma, and remind each other: your story is not over 🖤

Mental health terms are everywhere right now, which is great, but some are getting a little lost in translation.

All these terms of real, specific meaning and using them loosely can create confusion and sometimes downplay people’s actual experiences.

Learning what these terms actually mean = better self-awareness + better conversations 💬

Lately in my sessions, the term “situationship” has come up repeatedly.

As a counsellor I have seen how these in-between connections can create confusion, anxiety, and even long-term effects on how we relate to others.

Understanding the patterns is the first step toward building healthier, more secure relationships.

🌿 Self-confidence isn’t something you’re born with, it’s something you build, gently and over time.

Many people struggle with self-doubt, overthinking, or feeling “not good enough.” With the right support, these patterns can change.

In counselling, we don’t just talk, together we create a clear, supportive plan to help you.

Remember, growth doesn’t have to be overwhelming. It can be slow, compassionate, and steady 🤍

If you’ve been feeling stuck in self-doubt, you don’t have to navigate it alone.
