If we could scream it from the rooftops, we would!

Society continues to mistake a person's inability to speak reliably for an inability to think, learn, understand, or contribute. That assumption has denied countless nonspeaking individuals access to education, employment, healthcare, relationships, and the fundamental right to communicate.

Nonspeaking never meant nonthinking. It never will.

As a speech therapist, I was taught that all behaviour is communication. Nonspeakers have shown me that this is not true. We are often just seeing dysregulation. Thank you Leane for saying it so eloquently.
