Your Brain Does the Hearing
Your ears collect sound, but your brain is where hearing really happens. 🧠👂
When sound reaches your ears, it is converted into signals that travel to the brain. Your brain then works to recognise speech, identify familiar voices and make sense of the sounds around you.
When hearing becomes less clear, the brain has to work harder to fill in the gaps. This can make conversations feel more tiring and require greater concentration.
Healthy hearing helps keep you connected, engaged and part of the conversation.
