TEA AT THE PLAY TRAIN
The moms of the Play Train Toddlers Playgroup at the Play Lab at Bayerngarden Centre for Early Childhood Development, today gathered for an early Women’s Day celebration. The tea party was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate this supportive network of friends and the wonderful moms and grannies and everything they do for their little ones and families.

Throwback Thursday. Take a meaningful step to make a positive impact activity. The Delft Nex-Indawo Yethu e-Centre staff decorated a wall with colourful Madiba photos and quotes. All who entered the E-Centre were asked to write down “an act of kindness” they did for a friend or a complete stranger and add their paper leaf to the Mandela Tree.

Saturday, 18 July – Identify those in need around you and do what you can to make a difference with them and for them.
The HOPE Cape Town Advisory Committee and HOPE Nex Seniors Club partnered with Mandela Peace Park Seniors Club and Blue Bus Community Ministries to prepare 400 litres of soup which were served with bread and apples to more than 1000 adults and children in the Delft community. This project was planned and executed with care, respect, and a festive vibe despite the grey skies. The community members who queued up expressed their appreciation for this act of service.

Winter in Cape Town brings rain rather than snowflakes so the theme for the Winter Holiday programme at the Play lab at Bayerngarden Centre for Early Childhood Development at The Nex focussed on how raindrops and snowflakes are formed, the water cycle and the magic of rainbows! The children had lots of fun creating beautiful snowflake art.
