Expertise matters when it comes to your body.

At Ziel, you’re not simply being guided through a workout. Our instructors are highly qualified movement professionals with backgrounds in Biokinetics, Pilates, rehabilitation, ballet and dance.

Our approach is grounded in understanding how the body moves, why pain and movement limitations can occur, and how to progressively build strength, mobility and confidence.

Whether you're rehabilitating an injury, managing persistent pain, returning to exercise, or simply wanting to move better, you're working with professionals who understand the body beyond the exercise itself.

We believe movement should be purposeful, informed and individualised.

Qualified professionals. Evidence-informed movement. Personalised guidance.

Real bodies. Real strength. Real life.

Pilates was never meant to belong to a certain age, body type or aesthetic. It's about building strength, improving mobility and developing the physical capacity to move through life with confidence.

As we age, maintaining muscle mass, strength and bone health becomes increasingly important. Our bodies need to be challenged, loaded and encouraged to adapt.

You don't need the perfect flexibility or a particular body shape to walk into a Pilates studio and belong.

You deserve to feel strong. You deserve to move well. You deserve to have a space where your body is supported and challenged.

TIRED OF TEACHING REFORMER FOOTWORK THE SAME WAY EVERY TIME?

Footwork doesn’t have to be just legs.

Add a Pilates ring and suddenly you’ve got plenty of options to challenge the upper body while the legs keep working.

• Isometric holds
• Arm presses
• Coordination between the arms and legs

Same familiar footwork sequence, but with a little more going on.

👆 Here are 5 simple ways to add some arm work into your reformer footwork repertoire.

Mobility is more than being able to stretch further.

It’s the ability of a joint to move through the range it was designed to move through — with strength, control and freedom.

And when your joints move well, you notice it.
Getting out of bed feels easier. Squatting feels natural. Reaching overhead doesn’t feel like a battle. You turn, bend, walk and move without constantly thinking about what feels stiff or restricted.

There’s something incredibly satisfying about feeling at home in your body.

Mobility isn’t about forcing your body into positions it doesn’t want to be in. It’s about giving your joints the opportunity to move, explore and stay capable.

Your hips are designed to move — in more than just one direction.

The hip is a highly mobile ball-and-socket joint, capable of flexion, extension, abduction, adduction and internal and external rotation.

Training the hip through different ranges and planes of movement helps develop strength and control across the joint’s available range, rather than repeatedly loading the same positions.

Working through varied ranges challenges different muscles and their roles in stabilising and moving the pelvis and femur, while also developing neuromuscular control and movement coordination.

This is why your Pilates practice shouldn't just make you stronger in one position — it should help you control your hips through a variety of movements and ranges.

Strong hips aren't just about how much you can lift - They're about how well you can move.

The Tibialis Anterior is the muscle running along the front of your shin. Its main role is to dorsiflex the ankle (pull the foot upward) and help control the foot as it contacts the ground during walking, running and jumping.

Training this often-overlooked muscle helps improve ankle stability, balance and lower-leg strength, while supporting better control of movement and reducing excessive stress on the ankle and foot.

A strong tibialis anterior is particularly important for anyone who runs, jumps or participates in high-impact activities.
