This test is used to help determine the cause of your heart rhythm disturbance and the best treatment for you.

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is more than an irregular heartbeat. It is a progressive disease that can lead to stroke, heart failure, reduced quality of life and increased mortality. Early recognition and appropriate treatment are therefore important.

Catheter ablation has become an important treatment option, particularly for symptomatic patients, by targeting the electrical triggers that initiate and maintain AF.

For me, there’s been an interesting change recently, from FaraPulse PFA to VOLT PFA. VOLT is certainly a little more cumbersome and bulky to use, but it offers an important advantage: visualisation of the ablation lesions/sites, providing a clearer view of where energy has been delivered.

Different technologies, different advantages, ultimately, the goal remains the same: safer, more effective treatment for our patients. This is the new technology we have busted embraced a few weeks ago

Young doctors should not have to keep collecting qualifications just to prove they deserve a chance to work.
But when posts are limited, people start asking: how do I stand out?

For me, the answer has always been to serve where I can. If something is broken, contribute. If the system needs help, do what is within your reach.

Medicine is not only about titles.
It is about responsibility, service, and building better spaces for patients and colleagues.

Doctors need posts, training, exposure, and mentorship to grow into the specialists our country will need tomorrow.
If we leave young doctors outside the system, we are not only limiting their future.
We are weakening the future of patient care.

We need to start thinking more flexibly about medical training.
If young doctors are ready to work, but the public system cannot fund enough posts, then we must explore better ways to use both public and private healthcare spaces.

Training should not be trapped by bottlenecks when patients still need doctors.
The question is simple: how do we create a system that allows young doctors to grow, serve, and keep learning?
