Jenna Dias Conscious Living Conscious Parenting and Life Coach | Registered Counsellor | Mom to Boys

I am a Wife/Mom/Counsellor and I just LOVE understanding people, human behaviour and how the brain works. For the last 15yrs I have worked as a Registered Counsellor in either clinical or private practice, schools and corporate. I use tools like Neurofeedback, Brain Work Recursive Therapy, EQ Training and Play Therapy alongside traditional counselling. My core focus is to help both big and little

people understand themselves and their emotions better and help teach them better ways to self-regulate and cope. My latest journey and where I find my heart full is in helping teach moms and dads -but mostly moms- about re-parenting self; parenting your children and managing to do it all with a smile or two more.

🌿 **You’re invited!** 🌿

They say it takes a village to raise a child—but what happens when you don’t have one?

For many parents, the village is unavailable, far away, complicated or simply doesn’t exist in the way they had hoped. The responsibility of parenting then rests on very few shoulders, often leaving parents feeling exhausted, isolated and guilty for not coping better.

But parenting was never meant to be done alone.

Together, we’ll explore:

🌿 The emotional and mental weight of parenting without consistent support
🌿 Why asking for help can feel so difficult
🌿 The loneliness that can exist even when we are surrounded by people
🌿 How to release the guilt of not being able to do everything
🌿 Practical ways to create connection and build a village that may look different from the one we imagined

Your village does not have to be large or traditional. Sometimes it begins with one safe person, one honest conversation or the courage to say, **“I need help.”**

You were never meant to carry it all alone.

This Women’s Day, I don’t only want to celebrate how much women can carry.

Because women have always carried.

We carry families, careers, emotional loads, expectations, relationships and responsibilities—often while making it all look effortless.

We become so good at reading the room that we stop reading ourselves. So good at meeting everyone else’s needs that we slowly become unavailable to our own.

And the world often rewards us for it:

“She never complains.”
“I don’t know how she does it.”
“Give it to her—she’ll sort it out.”

But without boundaries, strength can slowly become self-erasure.

Empowerment is not about controlling everything around us. It is about recognising what is ours to carry, what we are ready to put down and knowing that we still get to decide what happens next.

It is being able to say no.
To ask for help.
To take the risk.
To speak our truth.
To disappoint someone else without abandoning ourselves.

As a mother of two boys, I know I am not only teaching them how women should be treated. I am showing them through the way I treat myself.

Our children need to see women who care deeply for others—but who do not disappear while doing it.

You are more than the hats you wear.

You are the woman beneath them.

This Women’s Day, may you come home to her. 🌿

🌿 **You’re invited!** 🌿

Have you ever heard the words leave your mouth and immediately wished you could take them back?

Parenting can trigger us in a split second. A child refuses, shouts, ignores us or pushes the same button for the tenth time—and before we know it, we’re reacting from frustration rather than responding with intention.

But what if the most powerful thing you could do in that moment was pause?

Join me for a free live talk:

**Before You Say Another Word…**

đź—“ **Monday, 10 August**

Together, we’ll explore:

🌿 Why our nervous system reacts before our thinking brain catches up
🌿 How to recognise when you’re becoming triggered
🌿 Why pausing does not mean being passive or permissive
🌿 Simple ways to regulate yourself before responding
🌿 How a few seconds of space can create calmer, more connected moments with your child

The pause is not about responding perfectly. It is about creating enough space between the trigger and your response so that you can choose what happens next.

Because sometimes changing the whole moment begins with what we do **before we say another word.**

Have you reached that point in the year where you’re doing everything that needs to be done—but you’re running on fumes?

Parental burnout doesn’t always look like falling apart. Sometimes it looks like irritability, exhaustion, disconnection, guilt, or simply feeling as though you have nothing left to give.

🌿 The invisible load so many parents carry
🌿 How burnout affects the way we respond to our children
🌿 Practical ways to reconnect with yourself—without adding another task to your already full plate
🌿 Why caring for yourself is not selfish, but essential

This isn’t about creating the perfect self-care routine or finding more time you simply don’t have. It’s about recognizing what is draining you, making space for your own needs and finding small, realistic ways to refill your cup.

One of the greatest shifts in parenting is recognising that our role is not to become indispensable, but gradually to become irrelevant.

At first glance, that can sound almost wrong.

Surely our children should always need us?

But perhaps the greatest gift we can give them is not lifelong dependence—it's lifelong confidence.

Our children aren't meant to depend on us forever.
They're meant to borrow our calm until they find their own.
Borrow our confidence until they trust themselves.
Borrow our wisdom until they can make wise decisions.

Sometimes the most loving thing we can do is step back.

To let them struggle.
To problem-solve.
To experience disappointment.
To discover they are far more capable than they ever imagined.

When we rescue every time, we unintentionally communicate,
"I don't think you can."

When we support without taking over, we communicate,
"I believe you can."

Our role isn't to raise children who always need us.

It's to raise children who know they can always come back to us.

Because one day, they will leave our homes.

The question is:
Will they leave believing they're capable?

đź’š I'd love to hear your thoughts.
What part of this parenting shift resonated with you most?

✨ **The Fine Line Between Helping and Holding Back** ✨

As parents, our instinct is often to step in, smooth the path, remind, rescue, and protect.

But sometimes, in our effort to help, we unintentionally send the message:

*"I don't believe you can do this on your own."*

Children don't build confidence by having life made easy for them. They build confidence by facing challenges, making mistakes, feeling disappointment, and discovering that they are capable of finding their own way through.

So how do we know when to support and when to step back?

Join me as we explore the delicate balance between being available and becoming indispensable, between guiding and controlling, between loving our children and learning to let them struggle just enough to grow.

Because our goal isn't to raise children who always need us.

It's to raise adults who know they can trust themselves. 🌱

✨ **When It's Not About the Child: Uncovering the Ego in Parenting** ✨

We often believe our strongest parenting reactions are about our children—the defiance, the attitude, the forgotten shoes, the endless negotiations.

But what if they're not?

What if our frustration, urgency, need for obedience, or fear of being judged are quietly rooted in our own unmet needs, old wounds, and unconscious expectations?

In this gentle and thought-provoking session, we'll explore how the ego shows up in parenting, why certain behaviours trigger us so deeply, and how awareness allows us to move from autopilot reactions to conscious responses.

When we understand ourselves better, we stop trying to control our children and begin connecting with them in a way that feels calmer, safer and more authentic.

🌿 The Myth of the Perfect Mother 🌿

Do you ever feel like you're constantly falling short of the parent you "should" be?

In a world filled with comparison, pressure, and impossible expectations, many mothers carry the silent burden of trying to be everything to everyone. The truth is, perfection isn't what our children need.

Join me as we explore how the pursuit of the "perfect mother" often creates disconnection, guilt, and exhaustion—and how embracing our humanity can deepen trust, strengthen relationships, and create more authentic connection with our children.

✨ We'll discuss:
• Why perfectionism keeps us stuck
• The hidden cost of "getting it right"
• How self-compassion benefits both parent and child
• Why connection matters more than perfection
• Practical ways to let go of unrealistic expectations

🌿 How do we raise successful kids?

Maybe the better question is:

What does success actually mean?

Is it grades, achievements, trophies, and accomplishments?

Or is it raising children who know who they are, can navigate life's challenges, build healthy relationships, regulate their emotions, and trust themselves when life gets hard?

So often, we focus on shaping our children, but true success begins with the adults guiding them.

Join me as we explore what children really need to thrive—not just academically, but emotionally, socially, and psychologically.
