Term 1 is usually filled with adjustment, starting new relationships, challenges and sometimes even some anxiety for both children and their parents.

May term 2 be where we find our feet, ground ourselves and gain confidence in our victories, big or small❤️

W-sitting is a normal part of movement and the variety in which children sit and play. It's important to make sure it is not the ONLY way in which a child plays and to continue encouraging a wide variety of sitting positions.

If you, a family member or the school are concerned about the amount of time your child plays in this position, consult with your pediatric physio or OT about this.

En so is die jaar verby! Ek is innig dankbaar vir wat hierdie jaar by my aangesluit het en alklaar voel of ek nogaltyd saam haar gewerk het. Saamsaam het ons gespeel, gelag, gehuil, en geborge gevoel in ons werk en die families wat ons innooi.

En om deel te wees van ander praktyke soos en Tersia en Lauren (spraakterapeute) verryk nie net ons diens nie, maar beslis die siel ook.

En soos altyd is ek niks sonder my mentor nie❤️

Geseende Kersfees en voorspoedige nuwejaar vir almal! Lekker rus en vakansie hou, ons sien julle weer in Januarie!

As OTs we take the role of product testing very seriously, and most of our activities we do with kids are first done by us to get a feel for the goals we want to work on and the safety and precautions we need to take.
