Competition Terms & Conditions
Eligibility:
1.1 The competition is open to all who are 18 years of age or older at the date of entry.
1.2 By entering the competition, participants warrant that they meet above eligibility requirements.
Competition Period:
2.1 The competition opens on the date specified in the competition post and closes on the date and time stated in the competition post.
1.2 Entries received after the closing date and time will not be considered.
How to Enter:
3.1 Participants must comply with all entry requirements specified in the competition post.
3.2 Only one entry per person will be accepted unless otherwise stated.
3.3 MedCare reserves the right to disqualify any participant who submits multiple entries, uses fraudulent means to enter, or fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
Prize:
4.1 The prize consists of that which is specified on the competition post.
4.2 The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, refundable, or redeemable for cash.
4.3 The prize may not be sold, auctioned, or otherwise disposed of by the winner.
Winner Selection and Notification:
5.1 The winner will be selected by random draw from all eligible entries received.
5.2 The winner will be announced on MedCare’s page and/or other social media platforms on the date specified in the competition post.
5.3 The winner will be contacted using the details provided or via the social media platform through which the entry was submitted.
5.4 Should the winner fail to respond within seven (7) days of notification, MedCare reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Prize Redemption:
6.1 The winner must book and redeem the prize within thirty (30) days of notification.
6.2 Failure to redeem the prize within the stipulated period may result in forfeiture of the prize.
Publicity:
7.1 By entering the competition, participants consent to the publication of their name and surname on MedCare’s social media platforms and marketing material for purposes related to the competition.
7.2 No compensation shall be payable for such publication.
Protection of Personal Information:
8.1 Personal information collected during the competition will be used solely for purposes of administering the competition and awarding the prize.
8.2 MedCare will process personal information in accordance with applicable South African data protection legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 ("POPIA").
Limitation of Liability
9.1 MedCare shall not be liable for any technical failures, interruptions, delays, or other issues affecting participation in the competition.
9.2 To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedCare shall not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising from participation in the competition or acceptance or use of the prize.
Medical Disclaimer
10.1 MedCare reserves the right to refuse treatment where medically indicated or where participation may pose a health risk to the winner.
10.2 The prize does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or a guarantee of any specific health outcome.
General
11.1 MedCare reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time should circumstances beyond its reasonable control make such action necessary.
11.2 MedCare’s decision regarding all aspects of the competition shall be final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into.
11.3 By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
Social Media Disclaimer
12.1 This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or any other social media platform used to promote the competition.
12.2 Participants release such platforms from any liability arising from the competition.
