This Nelson Mandela Day, Royal Buffalo Specialist Hospital is proud to partner with Project Impact through urologist Dr Jeff John, to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our community.

As part of this initiative, 20 urology patients who have been on Frere Hospital’s waiting list will receive pro bono procedures at RBSH. Some of these patients have been waiting for over a year for the care they need.

In the spirit of Nelson Mandela’s legacy, we believe that every person deserves access to quality healthcare and the opportunity to live with dignity. Today, we are honoured to give back by helping reduce the surgical waiting list and restoring hope to patients and their families.

Together, we are reminded that even small acts of service can make a lasting impact.

What an incredible time we had at the golf event on Friday!

We proudly celebrated Hand Hygiene Day on the 5th of May, reinforcing one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to prevent infections and protect both our patients and healthcare teams.

From engaging demonstrations to interactive sessions with staff and visitors, the day served as a strong reminder that every hand wash makes a difference. Together, we continue to uphold the highest standards of care by putting hygiene first.
