The best thing about Traveling to new places you get to meet amazing humans. In NZ charity fundraising shops are very popular and well supported. These thrifts shops sell pre-loved clothes and items at reasonable prices. The money then goes towards different humanity causes. ORPHANS AID INTERNATIONAL believes all Children deserve to thrive. Meeting Catherine at their shop has been amazing. NZ has the best thrift/charity shops. It’s such a fun experience. We all like bargains and supporting good causes. Catherine and the Orphans Aid team have also offered to share their love ❀️ by donating a suitcase of soft toys 🧸 for Best Start Baby NPO’s work in South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦. Besides caring for my father, pushing wheelchairs and driving my parents around I have loved meeting the locals and marketing South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦ and our work for better family health and breastfeeding education in South Africa πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦. Watching these calves being fed through an artificial udder was fascinating. It was a reminder that whether it's on the farm or in the hospital, good nutrition in the early days of life is essential for healthy growth and development.

I’m currently at Smedley Agricultural College in New Zealand, visiting my godson and nephew, Jack, and I absolutely love seeing him thrive and learn. ❀️
Because my work revolves around breastfeeding mothers and babies, I couldn't resist being curious about how cows feed their calves and how the milking process works! πŸ„πŸ₯› Jack patiently explained the process to me, and I found it fascinating to see the similarities and differences.
There is always something new to learn, wherever we are in the world and I love it! πŸŒπŸ’™

Fulfilling my dad’s bucket list. We are off to visit my precious sister and her family in NZ. I am my dad’s carer for the next 3 weeks. It’s been helpful having wheelchairs with extra support and care. Now for the plane ✈️ trip and small toilets. Honouring my parents wishes is important to me. My parents are upstairs in bigger seats and me downstairs with the babies πŸ‘Ά Life if precious and worth every moment. Grateful for my nursing skills. I am available on whatsapp and look forward to sharing some happy memories. πŸ™πŸ©·πŸ‡ΏπŸ‡¦πŸ™Œ

Breastfeeding isn't always easy, but with the right support and equipment, it can become so much more manageable.
This hands-free bra allows mothers to express milk comfortably while keeping their hands free, making the experience less stressful and more efficient. Combined with a hospital-grade breast pump and compassionate support, mothers can build and maintain their milk supply with confidence.
Every mother deserves the opportunity to succeed on her breastfeeding journey. Sometimes, a little support makes all the difference. 🀍 🌍

As we begin World Breastfeeding Week 2026, I'm reminded that sometimes all a mother needs is the right support.
When Mum Ashemale's hand pump wasn't working, we stepped in with a Medela hands-free bra and double expressing kit. Together, we set up the hospital-grade breast pump, made her comfortable, gave her breakfast, and allowed her body the time and support it needed. In just 10 minutes, she expressed 40 mls of precious breastmilk.
This wasn't just about expressing milk, it was about restoring confidence, preserving dignity, and helping a mother nourish her baby.
Professional breastfeeding support through organisations like Best Start Baby NPO, LACSA, La Leche League, Milk Matters, and SABR changes lives. Together, we can improve health outcomes for mothers and babies across Africa.
Every mother deserves support. Every baby deserves the best start. Every drop of breastmilk counts. 🀍 🌍
