Hot Stone Therapy
This is a heat therapy that dilates blood vessels and stimulates blood circulation. It helps relax tense muscles, reduce chronic pain such as office syndrome, and alleviate menstrual cramps. It is commonly applied for 15-20 minutes at a temperature not exceeding 45°C.
There are two main types:
Hot Stone Massage
Uses smooth basalt or volcanic stones, which are heated or warmed in a heating box and then used to massage pressure points on various parts of the body, such as the back or hands.
Hot Stone Compress
This involves wrapping small stones or heated stone pads in a cloth to apply heat to specific areas to relieve pain.
