Your Beautiful Life by Alexa

“Why not just give in? Isn’t it loving to compromise — especially when compromising will keep the peace?”

But what peace is there in your own demise…?

Love is not supposed to be a battle ground.

And if your “compromising” means you are compromising your own self-respect, what is it exactly you are compromising for?

Their ego growing bigger…?

Your emotional health getting flushed down the toilet…?

Having to trade self-respect for a moment of peace is NOT love — and keeping THAT kind of “peace” is not what you are here for.

Because, yes, compassionate people ARE here to bring peace to this world.

But the peace we bring is not the kind that feeds into toxic dynamics, or walks on eggshells around big egos, or agrees to sacrifice our self-respect in the name of keeping-the-people-pleased.

We are here to be peace — to be the living embodiment of what love and joy can look like.

And birthing that peace looks like learning how to live from the center of our strong healthy innate boundaries.

Boundaries that support and uphold the goodness and beauty of this LIFE — and all that it could be.

(Caveat: And sometimes our situation is such that it is not safe to do that…yet. So the first thing we do then is seek safety - such as by quietly talking to a domestic violence professional for help in creating a safety plan for exiting the unsafe situation. Because achieving safety is the first boundary).

You are worthy of a life that upholds and celebrates your self-respect.

BECAUSE WE ALL ARE.

You are here for a reason, my friend.

A joyful world brimming with peace is the world compassionate people are here to help create — but it starts right here, in our own lives.

Step into your power, beautiful one, (safely, as able, when able), and trust the process as you do so.

The world is waiting for us — and we are waking up.

Children need honesty — but they also need protection.

There is a difference between being emotionally available to your child and emotionally unloading onto your child.

Kids are not meant to carry adult stress, adult conflict, adult secrets, or adult pain before their nervous system is ready to understand it.

They need to know:

💛 “The adults are handling this.”
💛 “You are safe.”
💛 “This is not your job to fix.”
💛 “You can be a child here.”

This doesn’t mean we pretend everything is perfect.

It means we share information in a way that is age-appropriate, regulated, and centered on their emotional safety — not our need to vent.

Children should not have to become the emotional support system for the adults in their life.

Protect their childhood.
Protect their nervous system.
Protect their sense of safety.
