A massive THANK YOU to Pastor Harris from Friends of Compassion Ministries for spoiling our patients, staff, and students with a delicious KFC lunch on Wednesday! 🍗✨

Nothing brings smiles together quite like sharing good food, and your kindness filled both hearts and tummies. From happy patients to grateful staff and students, there were plenty of finger-lickin' good moments all around! 😄

Your generosity reminds us that compassion is often served in the simplest (and tastiest!) ways. Thank you for making an ordinary Wednesday feel extra special.

We appreciate you more than words and probably almost as much as that last piece of chicken! 😉🍗❤️

Where do we even begin? 🤯💙

When Tharusha and her amazing team pulled into the Hospice with... wait for it... a TRUCK LOAD of goodies, we were completely blown away, absolutely gobsmacked, and yes... there were a plenty of emotional moments too! 🥹🚛

The generosity of your wonderful patients and everyone involved left us speechless. Every single donation is more than just an item, it is a reminder that our community cares deeply for the patients and families we serve.

A huge thank you to Tharusha, your incredible team, PMT, and Darren Farnworth for making it all happen, your kindness and generosity have touched our hearts.

🥘Potjies, People & Plenty of Heart! ❤️

What a day! The legendary Kensington Bowling Club Potjiekos Competition was an absolute HUGE success, proving once again that a little friendly rivalry, a lot of delicious potjies, and an incredible community can achieve amazing things.

The pots bubbled, the secret recipes impressed, the laughter echoed across the greens, and, most importantly, together they raised over R23,000 for the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice!
A massive thank you to everyone who cooked, tasted, cheered, donated, and supported this wonderful cause. Every ticket purchased, every donation made and every moment shared helped make a real difference.

Who knew cast-iron pots could be filled with so much generosity?

Here's to another unforgettable Potjie Day where community spirit was the winning ingredient, and everyone walked away with full hearts (and very full stomachs!).

This June, as 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐚 𝐍𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐨 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 celebrates our 15th birthday, we are honoured to support the incredible work of 𝐄𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐞 through a donation drive.
Edenvale Hospice is a 13-bed facility providing 24/7 care to terminally ill patients suffering from cancer, HIV, and TB. With no government funding, they rely entirely on the generosity of the community, dedicated donors, and fundraising efforts to keep their doors open. Operating costs exceed R136,000 per month, yet they continue to provide compassionate care, meals, medication, laundry services, and so much more to those who need it most.

💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to the Student Nurses from Ann Latsky Campus! 💙

Last month, we had the pleasure of welcoming a group of student nurses from Ann Latsky Campus to Edenvale Care Centre Hospice. During their visit, they took the time to engage with our team and identify ways in which they could make a meaningful difference.

On Friday, they returned with a generous donation of hygiene products to support both our patients and staff members. Not to mention the yummy snacks and party vibes! Their kindness, thoughtfulness, and commitment to caring for others truly touched our hearts.

We are incredibly grateful for their contribution, which helps promote health, dignity, comfort, and well-being within our hospice community.

As the students shared: "As student nurses, we are committed to serving communities and making a meaningful difference wherever we can. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this initiative possible."
