Peptides are short chains of amino acids, the same building blocks used to form proteins. They occur naturally in the body and act as signalling molecules, instructing certain cells and tissues to perform specific functions.
Different peptides interact with different receptors, which means their effects are not interchangeable. Some are involved in hormone signalling, appetite regulation, tissue repair, immune function or skin health. The effect depends on the specific peptide, its dosage, how it is administered and the patientβs individual health profile.
Peptide therapy should therefore not be selected according to a trend or someone elseβs results. A medical consultation and appropriate monitoring are important to assess suitability, possible risks and the correct treatment approach.
