A customer wanted a quick fix because the car wouldn't start.

During the conversation, we discovered a connector under the steering column had been unplugged.

Could we have guessed?

Yes.

Did we?

No.

🚗💭 **Real KasiCars Situation Today…**

So today I helped push-start a car that refused to start normally.

Battery? ✔️ Fine
Starter? ✔️ Turning
Fuel? ✔️ There

But the car wouldn’t start… until we push-started it.

👀 Then after adding petrol — it started properly.

🧠 **So what’s really going on?**

Most people will say:
👉 “It’s the fuel pump!”

But not so fast…

If the fuel pump was dead:
❌ The car would NOT start at all (even with push start)

⚠️ **Possible real causes:**
• Low fuel affecting fuel pressure
• Weak starter speed (engine not spinning fast enough)
• Crank sensor signal issues at low RPM

💡 **Lesson:**
A car can *crank* but still not *start* — and that doesn’t always mean the same problem.

– Crank but No Start | No OBD Communication

Vehicle cranks but does not start.
No communication with the ECU.

Initial checks done on site:
• Diagnostic scan attempted – no communication
• Fuel line opened – no fuel pressure present
• Confirms a fuel delivery/control issue, not a starter or battery problem

Next steps will require further electrical and fuel system testing (fuel pump circuit, relays, ECU power/grounds, immobiliser signals, etc.) before parts are replaced.

⚠️ Important note:
A diagnostic scan is not payment for a fix; it is payment for finding direction. Even when no fault codes are retrieved, time, tools, experience, and call-out are still used.
