👩‍🏫 Courses for lymphoedema therapy
☀️ Health • Lifestyle • Wellness Lymphology is a vastly under-studied area of medical specialization.

As such, Lymphoedema is one of the most commonly misdiagnosed and under-treated co-morbidities associated with cardiac, orthopaedic, vascular as well as cancer treatment and survivorship. Lymphoedema and other oedema pathologies that involve uncontrolled swelling can and should be safely treated following an accurate diagnosis utilizing the specialized therapeutic techniques learned in the certifi

cation course. The technique of therapy that creates the core of this regimen is based on the International Standards of practice for Complete Decongestive Therapy and Wound Care Management. Suzi Davey is present for and instructs portions of every training course. She remains committed to the delivery of an unaltered, uniform educational system regardless of location, class size, or participant background. Additionally, as part of the school’s enduring commitment to its alumni, our instructors are available to consult with practicing Lymphoedema therapists on challenging patient cases, reimbursement issues, and successful business practices.

Do NOT sleep in compression garments if you have:

❌ severe arterial disease (poor blood circulation)
❌ uncontrolled heart failure
❌ acute infection or inflammation in the affected area
❌ severe pain, numbness, or tingling with compression
❌ skin damage, open wounds, or active irritation

In these cases, compression at night can be unsafe and requires medical guidance.

If none of the above apply, check this before sleeping in compression:

✔️ Garment is suitable for night-time use
✔️ Fit is correct — not too tight or restrictive
✔️ Comfortable to wear through the night
✔️ Skin is protected and monitored
✔️ Advised by a medical doctor and fitted by trained therapist

Compression can support Lymphoedema management —
but only when used safely and correctly.

🚨 If your swelling isn’t going away after weeks… that’s NOT normal.

Have you tried everything; elevating, resting, cutting salt, but the swelling still won’t go down?
You might be experiencing lymphoedema.

Lymphoedema happens when the lymphatic system can’t drain fluid properly, causing long-lasting swelling, most often in the arms, legs, or other areas of the body.

This type of swelling:
• Doesn’t fully go away on its own even with elevation and water pills
• Can feel heavy, tight, or uncomfortable
• May slowly worsen if left unmanaged

💙 While lymphoedema is a chronic condition, it can be effectively managed with the right care, education, and support.

👉 Follow us for trusted, easy-to-understand information on lymphoedema, chronic swelling, and how to manage it better.
Because swelling that stays deserves answers, support and proper treatment with a certified lymphoedema therapist TODAY.

Can you sleep in compression garments? Yes — when used correctly.

Sleeping in compression can be safe and beneficial because:
– supports lymphatic flow overnight
– helps maintain results from daytime treatment
– reduces fluid build-up while resting
– improves comfort in the morning
– provides continuous management for Lymphoedema

Before sleeping in compression, consider this:
✔️ Use garments suitable for night-time (not all are designed for this)
✔️ Ensure correct fit — not too tight or restrictive
✔️ Check skin condition (no irritation, wounds, or sensitivity)
✔️ Monitor comfort — no pain, numbness, or tingling
✔️ Follow guidance from a medical doctor and fitted by trained therapist

Compression is effective — but only when applied safely and correctly.
