The Wisdom of the Weave (@ Inzalo Y'langa)
A spider does not begin with a web.
It begins with a single thread.
Then another.
And another.
No strand is woven in isolation. Each one is placed in relationship to the last, creating strength not because of any one thread, but because of how they support one another.
Perhaps life follows the same design?
We spend so much of our lives focusing on individual moments—the successes, the failures, the losses, the triumphs—as though each one defines us.
Yet wisdom rarely lives within a single experience.
It emerges in the weaving together of them all.
Our joy gives meaning to our grief.
Our failures deepen our compassion.
Our wounds become places where understanding grows.
Our relationships shape us in ways we may never fully see.
Even the parts of ourselves we wish we could erase are threads in the tapestry of who we are.
Nature reminds us that strength is not rigidity. A spider's web is both delicate and resilient. It stretches. It yields. It responds. It repairs. It knows that survival depends not on resisting change, but on remaining connected.
Perhaps this is the wisdom of the weave.
That healing is not about becoming someone new.
It is about recognising that every experience, every relationship, every choice, every act of love, every season of loss, has been woven into the fabric of our lives.
Nothing exists alone.
Not the web.
Not the forest.
Not the human heart.
We are each a single thread in something infinitely greater than ourselves.
And over time, those seemingly insignificant threads become something capable of holding an entire life.
