I’ve been calling these little moments of grounding micro-grounding, but honestly, I mostly think of them as daily reminders to touch some grass.
Because, like many of you, I have BIG feelings about the state of the world, the people of this earth, the climate and some days I struggle to find hope.
Sometimes, I need to step away from the phone, look at a tree, feel my feet on the ground and remember that I am a human being having a very human experience on a giant rock floating throughout the cosmos.
Micro-grounding isn’t about bypassing. We do enough of that in the wellness world.
This is my way of finding little moments to come back into my body, connect with the earth, and feel a little more anchored while I figure out how I want to show up in this world.
Sometimes it’s a breath.
Sometimes it’s bare feet on the ground.
Sometimes it’s staring at the ocean for an unreasonable amount of time.
Whatever works really.
Go touch some grass.
Then come back and carry on.
