๐Ÿ’™ Happy Father's Day ๐Ÿ’™

Today we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, father figures and mentors who help shape our lives through their love, guidance and unwavering support.

A fatherโ€™s influence is often found in the little things; the lessons taught through example, the sacrifices made without recognition, the encouragement offered when it is needed most and the quiet strength that helps families navigate life's challenges.

Today we honor the men who show up, stand strong, work hard and love deeply. The men who teach us resilience, integrity and kindness. The men who inspire us to dream bigger, reach higher and become the best versions of ourselves.

We also take a moment to remember the fathers who are no longer with us but whose wisdom, love and legacy continue to live on in the hearts of those they touched.

To every father and father figure, thank you for the difference you make each day. Your guidance shapes futures. Your sacrifices create opportunities. Your love leaves a lasting legacy.

Wishing all fathers a day filled with appreciation, love and the special moments that matter most.

From Addis Ababa to the future of African health security.

What an incredible experience attending the Continental Meeting on Accelerating African-led Arbovirus and Filovirus Countermeasures hosted by the Africa CDC.

Over two inspiring days, our Executive Director, Mr. Gama Major Cindi, had the privilege of engaging with some of Africa's brightest minds, thought leaders, researchers, policymakers and innovators who are working tirelessly to strengthen our continent's preparedness and response to emerging health threats.

''Beyond the insightful discussions and knowledge sharing, one of the most rewarding aspects of the meeting was building meaningful relationships, exchanging ideas and establishing valuable connections with professionals from across Africa'' says our ED. These conversations reinforced the power of collaboration in driving sustainable solutions for our continent.

A personal highlight for our Executive Director was the opportunity to visit the African Union Headquarters, a powerful reminder of Africa's collective vision, unity and commitment to shaping a stronger future for generations to come.

As a representative of CRISMO, Mr. Gama Major Cindi is proud to have contributed to these important conversations and to bring back valuable insights that will support our continued commitment to innovation, strategic partnerships and impactful solutions across the African continent.

Thank you to Africa CDC for creating a platform that brings together changemakers dedicated to advancing African-led solutions for African challenges.

The future of Africa is being built through collaboration and we are honoured to be part of that journey.

๐Ÿ‡ฟ๐Ÿ‡ฆ Youth Day | Honouring the Past. Empowering the Future.

Today, South Africa commemorates Youth Day, a day of remembrance, reflection and renewed commitment to the young people who continue to shape our nation's future.

On 16 June 1976, thousands of courageous students took to the streets of Soweto in a peaceful protest against unequal education and the compulsory use of Afrikaans in black schools. What began as a call for educational justice became a defining moment in South Africa's history.

We remember the bravery of those young people who stood up for their rights, many of whom paid the ultimate price. Their courage helped ignite a movement that would contribute to the eventual end of apartheid and laid the foundation for the freedoms we enjoy today. As we honour the legacy of the 1976 generation, we are also reminded that the responsibility to empower our youth continues. Youth Day is not only about remembering the past. It is about investing in the future. It is about creating opportunities for education, skills development, entrepreneurship and meaningful employment. It is about ensuring that every young person has the tools, support and confidence needed to reach their full potential.

As Youth Month begins, let us celebrate the innovators, leaders, creators, athletes, entrepreneurs and changemakers who are building a better South Africa every day.

The youth of 1976 changed history.
The youth of today are shaping tomorrow.
We remember their sacrifice.
We honour their legacy.
We invest in our future.
