Did you know that the TRICEPS SURAE muscle group is in the calf?
It is made up of the prominent Gastrocnemius muscle (divided into the lateral and medial heads) and the underlying powerful Soleus muscle.
These muscles come together to form the Achilles Tendon.
The work in pointing the foot or plantar flexing the foot.
The PERONEAL (aka Fibularis) muscle group is made up of 3 groups: Longus, Brevis and Tertius.
They assist in ankle stability, supporting the arch of the foot, plantar flexion and turning the foot outward (eversion).
