Here's your weekly permission slip: you do NOT need to touch your toes in a forward fold. The benefit is in the reaching, not the arriving. When you round your spine and strain to grab your feet, you actually bypass the hamstring stretch entirely.
Try this instead: bend your knees as much as you need to, let your belly rest on your thighs, and THEN start to straighten your legs. Feel the difference?
