As part of Disability Rights Awareness Month (DRAM), Mossel Bay Municipality is participating in a range of initiatives aimed at promoting the rights, inclusion, dignity, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. DRAM is observed annually to create awareness of the challenges faced by persons with disabilities, to celebrate their achievements, and to encourage equal opportunities and full participation in society. The campaign also promotes accessibility, inclusion, and the protection of the rights of persons with disabilities in all sectors of society.
One of Mossel Bay Municipality's key objectives during this awareness month is to establish an updated and verified database of persons with disabilities within our municipal area. This information will assist the Municipality in improving planning, service delivery, stakeholder engagement, and future disability-related programmes and interventions. Reaching all persons with disabilities in our communities remains a significant challenge. We therefore kindly request your assistance.
