You Do Not Have to Carry It Alone

This is your gentle invitation.

If life has felt heavy lately…
If grief, stress, change, or old emotions have been sitting close to the surface…
If you feel tired from carrying everything quietly…
If you keep telling yourself “I should be fine” when you know you need space…
If your body, mind, or emotions are asking for support…

You are welcome here.

A support session with DM Holistic with Dalene Meyer is a calm space to pause, breathe, reflect, and gently reconnect with yourself.

It is not about forcing answers.

It is about making space for what is real.

Together, we can explore what you are feeling, what may be weighing on you, and what small next step may support your emotional balance.

You do not need perfect words.
You do not need to explain everything beautifully.
You do not need to have it all figured out.

You only need to take the first step.

What We Carry

Sometimes we carry more than we realise.

We carry grief.
We carry memories.
We carry words left unsaid.
We carry worry for others.
We carry old beliefs about our worth.
We carry pressure to be strong.
We carry the need to keep going, even when our hearts feel tired.

And the body often notices before we do.

A tight chest.
Heavy shoulders.
A tiredness that rest does not fully shift.
A knot in the stomach.
Irritation that feels bigger than the situation.
Tears that sit close to the surface.

This does not mean something is “wrong” with you.

It may mean something inside you is asking to be heard.

Holistic healing invites us to look at the whole person — mind, body, emotions, energy, beliefs, and lived experience.

In Emotional Aromatherapy and holistic support sessions, we gently create space to notice what is being carried, what emotions may need acknowledgement, and what small steps can support emotional balance.

This may include:

🍀 Emotional awareness
🍀 Gentle coaching
🍀 Breathwork
🍀 Grounding techniques
🍀 Aromatherapy support
🍀 Self-worth reflection
🍀 Releasing old emotional patterns

You do not need to arrive with everything figured out.

You only need to begin with honesty.

If you are feeling emotionally heavy, disconnected, or unsure of what you are carrying, you are welcome to book or make contact:

Life Is Fragile, Emotion Need Space

Some weeks remind us how fragile life truly is.

Whether someone has lived many years, or whether a life ends far too soon, loss touches more than one person.

It is someone’s husband.
Someone’s father.
Someone’s grandfather.
Someone’s daughter.
Someone’s sister.
Someone’s friend.
Someone’s mother.

Behind every loss is a circle of people whose lives are changed.

Grief does not always arrive neatly.

Sometimes it comes as tears.
Sometimes as silence.
Sometimes as irritation, exhaustion, numbness, or heaviness in the body.
Sometimes it appears when you least expect it.

This is why emotional awareness matters.

We cannot always control what life brings.

But we can learn to pause, acknowledge what we feel, and give our emotions space instead of pushing them deeper down.

Reading and reflecting on healing work, including Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life, has reminded me again how deeply our thoughts, emotions, bodies, and beliefs can influence the way we experience life.

Healing does not mean pretending everything is fine.

It means gently asking:

What am I feeling?
What do I need?
Where do I need support?
What am I carrying that needs care?

If you are moving through grief, emotional heaviness, overwhelm, or a season of reflection, you do not have to process everything alone.

Creating Balance from the Inside Out
Movement supports far more than physical fitness.

Regular activity can support mood, sleep, brain health, heart health, muscles, mobility and confidence.

It can also become a healthy way to release emotional tension and reconnect with yourself.

As Louise Hay wrote in You Can Heal Your Life:

“When we create peace and harmony and balance in our minds, we will find it in our lives.”

Movement can be part of creating that balance—not as punishment, but as a supportive choice for your mind and body.

What type of movement helps you feel more like yourself?

Match Your Movement to Your Emotion
Movement does not have to look the same every day.

Try matching it to what you are feeling:

🍀 **Restless or frustrated?** Take a purposeful walk.
🍀 **Flat or unmotivated?** Play one favourite song and move.
🍀 **Overwhelmed?** Choose slow, repetitive movement with steady breathing.
🍀 **Mentally tired?** Step outside and move in natural light.

Exercise is not only about changing the body. Enjoyable movement can interrupt repetitive thoughts, redirect attention and support a healthier emotional response.

The best movement is not necessarily the hardest one.

It is the one you can begin—and are willing to return to.

Move Before Motivation Arrives
We often wait to feel motivated before we move.

But sometimes movement helps create the shift we are waiting for.

Physical activity influences brain systems involving:

🍀 **Dopamine** — motivation, reward and drive
🍀 **Serotonin** — mood, emotional balance and sleep
🍀 **Endorphins** — the body’s natural response to effort and discomfort

Dopamine and serotonin are primarily neurotransmitters, not simply “happy hormones.” Exercise influences several interconnected systems, including dopamine, serotonin, endorphins and stress regulation.

This does not mean one walk will solve everything. It means movement can give your mind and body additional support when emotions feel heavy or your energy feels low.

Start with ten manageable minutes. Walk, dance, stretch or choose something you genuinely enjoy.

Walking, Water & Coming Back to Yourself
Movement does not always have to be fast, far, or impressive.

Sometimes the most healing movement is simple and intentional.

A slow walk.
A few minutes outside.
Feeling the sun or breeze.
Noticing your breath.
Listening to the birds.
Letting your body move without pressure.

Good old walking is still one of the most beautiful ways to support yourself.

Not because of how far you go.
Not because of how fast you walk.
But because of the presence you bring to it.

Intentional walking can become a quiet emotional reset.

A way to move the heaviness.
A way to breathe deeper.
A way to think more clearly.
A way to reconnect with yourself.

And if you are fortunate enough to have access to a pool or live near the beach, water movement can also be wonderfully supportive.

Swimming or gentle movement in water can feel easier on the body, especially if you struggle with balance, leg discomfort, back issues, or stiffness.

The water supports you.

It takes pressure off the body while still allowing movement.

This is the heart of holistic health:

We work with the body, emotions, mind, energy, and lived experience — not as separate pieces, but as part of the whole person.

So this weekend, ask yourself:

What gentle movement would support me today?

A walk?
A stretch?
Chair yoga?
Tai chi?
A swim?
A few quiet breaths outside?

Start where you are.
Your body does not need punishment.
It needs support.

If you would like gentle guidance with emotional balance, self-awareness, and reconnecting with yourself, you are welcome to book or make contact through my website: https://dalenemeyerholistic.com/

Small safety note for the post or comments: if someone has serious pain, balance issues, or medical conditions, they should choose safe movement and get medical guidance where needed.

Gentle Movement Still Count
When emotions feel heavy, movement can help us come back into the body.

Not intense exercise.
Not punishment.
Not forcing yourself into something that feels too much.

Just gentle movement.

After the past few weeks of speaking about emotions, overwhelm, grounding, and emotional reset, this is an important reminder:

Your body also needs a way to release what your mind and heart have been carrying.

Sometimes that may look like:

🍀 Chair yoga
🍀 Tai chi
🍀 Gentle stretching
🍀 Slow breathing with movement
🍀 Walking outside
🍀 Moving your shoulders, hands, or feet while seated

Chair yoga may sound “too simple” at first.

Tai chi may feel slow.

A gentle walk may not feel like “proper exercise.”

But when your body has been inactive, tired, tense, overwhelmed, sore, or struggling with balance, back discomfort, or other limitations, gentle movement can still be powerful.

It is not about doing more.

It is about moving with awareness.

A small movement can help shift stuck energy.
A slow breath can soften tension.
A walk outside can clear the mind.
A few stretches can remind your body that it is safe to release.

Emotional balance is not only something we think through.

Sometimes we need to move through it.

If you are feeling emotionally heavy, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, gentle support is available.

Emotional Reset: Come Back to Yourself
When emotions take over, it can feel as if you have lost your centre.

The irritation becomes louder.
The frustration builds.
The tears sit close.
The body may start showing the weight of what you are carrying.

This is when an emotional reset can help.

Not a perfect reset.

A human one.

Try this simple check-in:

1. What am I feeling right now?
2. Where do I feel it in my body?
3. What triggered this emotion?
4. What do I need to step away from?
5. What would support me in the next 10 minutes?
6. What is one kinder thought I can offer myself?

Then remind yourself:

My emotions are allowed.
My reaction can be softened.
My body deserves care.
My worth is not gone because I had a difficult moment.
I can begin again.

In Emotional Aromatherapy Sessions, EFT AromaPressure , we may gently work with emotional awareness, grounding, breath, sensory support, and oils or blends connected with comfort, release, grounding, and upliftment.

This may include blends such as Forgive or Cheer, or oils such as Vanilla, Star Anise, Release, and Patchouli.

The oil does not “fix” the emotion.

It becomes a sensory anchor — a moment to pause, breathe, notice, and understand what your emotions may be asking for.
