The Rooisand Boardwalk at Kogelberg Nature Reserve is now open from 7 October 2026, up to the lookout point.

The newly built boardwalk forms part of the 5 km Rooisand Ramble, an easy walking route along the Bot River Estuary. The route leads to a lookout point, where you can take in the surrounding wetlands and spot some of the unique birdlife.

Please note: the Bird Hide is still under construction and remains closed to the public until further notice.

Waddle you waiting for? Penguin Palooza is back! 🐧

Join us on Saturday, 7 November, at Stony Point Nature Reserve in Betty’s Bay for a day of family fun, celebrating African Penguins, and the work being done to protect them.

Stony Point is one of the last places on Earth where African Penguins still breed on the mainland. With the species facing growing threats, protecting this colony and raising awareness about its conservation are more important than ever.

Bring the family, learn more about these remarkable seabirds and discover how we can all play a role in protecting our coastal wildlife.

An Exciting Milestone in Resuscitative Care in South Africa!

Today marks an important and exciting step forward in paediatric resuscitation training as we launch our latest educational offering: the PALS Extended Program (PALS-EP).

The PALS-EP course will soon be available across Southern Africa, bringing enhanced learning opportunities to healthcare professionals involved in the care of critically ill and injured children.

Building on the strong foundation of the existing PALS course, PALS-EP offers a more in-depth exploration of current literature, evidence-based practice, and advanced clinical skills. The program is designed to further develop the knowledge, critical thinking, and practical competencies required by advanced healthcare providers managing complex paediatric emergencies.

This initiative represents an important advancement in resuscitation education, with the ultimate goal of strengthening clinical practice and improving outcomes for critically ill children.
