Did you know babies are born with built-in reflexes?
Primitive reflexes are automatic movements that help babies move, feed, respond to their environment, and adapt during the early months of life.
As babies grow and gain strength, these reflexes gradually become less dominant while the brain, spine, and nervous system mature, allowing for more controlled movement, coordination, balance, and developmental skills.
Movement experiences such as tummy time, reaching, rolling, crawling, and play all contribute to this process.
Every child develops at their own pace, but understanding these early building blocks can help support healthy development as they grow 🤍
