I 🩷Bo***es is doing such important work taking breast cancer education and early-detection awareness into communities where access to these resources may be limited.

They teach women about breast health and how to perform their own breast examinations because early detection saves lives.

And this is where your support really makes a difference. 💗

The money raised through events like the Secret Swim, and many others around the country, helps fund access to the diagnostic imaging these women may need when something concerning is detected. Working together with radiology practices, I Bo***es helps ensure that cost isn’t the reason a woman can’t take that crucial next step.

So come swim, dip, splash or simply come along and support the KZN Midlands Secret Swim. 🏊‍♀️💗

Those currently in treatment, those navigating life after it, the families walking alongside them, and those we remember.

Awareness matters. Early detection matters. And continuing to support women through every stage of their journey matters too. 🩷

People who know me know that I never really wear nail polish to work.

But people who know me also know how passionate I am about breast cancer awareness. 🩷

So for October Breast Cancer Awareness Month I decided to make an exception.

A little pink.
A little ribbon.
And a little reminder to all of us:

Be breast aware. Know your body. Notice changes. Get checked.

Sometimes even the smallest things can start an important conversation.

So ladies… this October, let’s keep the conversation going. 🩷

✨ An amazing opportunity to keep learning and growing!

I recently had the privilege of spending time in Cape Town completing the Specialist Lipoedema Management programme through the Lymphoedema Training Academy (LTA).

Having been a certified lymphoedema therapist for almost nine years, I went into the course with many years of experience in lymphatic management, but came away with an incredible amount of new knowledge and a much deeper understanding of lipoedema, its assessment and its specialised management.

I’m also incredibly fortunate to have such a fantastic team at Diane Godfrey Physiotherapy who kept everything running smoothly back home and made it possible for me to step away from the practice to continue learning. A special mention has to go to our amazing admin team, who really do keep the wheels turning behind the scenes! 🙌

Very grateful for the opportunity ,and excited to bring this additional knowledge and skill back to my patients.
