Our KliniDoc doctors all agree: Healthy aging is about staying strong, connected, and cared for. ❤️

1. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 & 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗙𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀
Daily movement and light exercise help maintain muscle strength, balance, and independence. Creating a safer home environment can also help prevent falls.

2. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗛𝘆𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
A heart-healthy diet, enough calcium and Vitamin D, and staying hydrated all play an important role in healthy aging.

3. 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆
Regularly reviewing medications with your healthcare provider and using reminders or pill organizers can help prevent complications and ensure medications are taken correctly.

4. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 & 𝗘𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴
Staying socially connected through family, friends, hobbies, church, and community activities helps combat loneliness and supports emotional health. Early attention to memory or mood changes is equally important.

Your health deserves proactive care at every stage of life. 🌿 Book your comprehensive checkup with Dr Carmen Jaquire today and take an important step toward healthier, happier aging.

🩺 World Tuberculosis Day | 24 March

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a serious public health challenge in South Africa — but awareness and early action can save lives.

📊 Key TB Facts in South Africa:
* Incidence rate: ~468 per 100,000 people
* Over 300,000 people fall ill with TB every year
* Estimated 54,000–56,000 deaths annually
* Around 54% of TB cases occur in people living with HIV

While progress has been made, with new cases decreasing by over 50% since 2015, TB is still one of the leading causes of death in our country.

⚠️ Know the symptoms:
Persistent cough, weight loss, night sweats, and fever.

💙 Take action:
Early testing and treatment are key to stopping the spread and saving lives.

Visit your nearest KliniDoc Medical Centre for screening, advice, and support.

Today we recognise 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝗗𝗮𝘆, a global reminder of the important role our kidneys play in keeping our bodies healthy.

Your kidneys work hard every day to filter waste, balance fluids, and support overall wellbeing. Taking care of them is essential — and small lifestyle choices can make a big difference.

✔ Stay well hydrated
✔ Maintain a healthy blood pressure
✔ Manage blood sugar levels
✔ Eat a balanced diet
✔ Have regular health check-ups

At KliniDoc Medical Centre, we encourage everyone to be proactive about their health. Speak to Dr Jaquire if you have concerns about kidney health or would like to schedule a routine check-up.
