You don’t have to do it all alone. ❤️

Being a “superwoman” doesn’t mean carrying everything by yourself. Sometimes, the strongest thing you can do is say, “I need help,” and allow the people you trust to show up for you.

Motherhood can be overwhelming, and there is absolutely no shame in accepting support.

This is a powerful reminder from our latest episode of Conversations with Dr Machaba, where we unpack the realities of postpartum depression and the importance of having a support system.

🎥 The full episode is now LIVE on YouTube. Go watch, share and start the conversation.

Postpartum blues are real — and you’re not alone. 💙

About 70–80% of women experience postpartum blues, often as a result of the hormonal and emotional changes that come with childbirth.

They usually resolve within a week or two. But when the feelings persist or become more intense, it may be more than the baby blues.

Patience with parenting is real! ❤️ Here are a few reminders: get down to your child’s level, understand their emotions, set loving boundaries, and remember to pause when things feel overwhelming.

And parents, take care of yourself too. Fill your cup, enjoy a gelato, book a massage, spend time in an adult setting, or simply take a moment to breathe. 🧘🏽‍♀️🍦

A happy, supported parent creates a healthier family environment. 💕

Not every meltdown means “more discipline needed.” Sometimes it means the day was too much.

Here are 3 signs your child might need LESS structure, not more:

• They resist every transition — pushback between activities can mean the day is overscheduled
• Free play feels awkward for them — they may need more unstructured time to build that muscle
• Meltdowns spike on busy days — it’s usually overstimulation, not “bad behavior”

More structure isn’t always the answer. Sometimes what your child needs most is room to breathe. Save this for the next tough day 💛

✈️ Travelling with children? Here’s a simple ear tip!

👶 Babies: let them suck on a bottle.
👧 Older kids: chew gum, swallow, or sip water.

These help relieve ear pressure during flights. And if their ears are still sore, give appropriate pain relief to keep them comfortable. ❤️
